Celebrating 50,000 Young Minds Inspired: The Heart of Our Education Project

We are beyond thrilled to announce an incredible milestone in our journey of giving back to the community. Since 2014, our on-site farm and in-school education project has welcomed and inspired over 50,000 children! This achievement fills us with pride and reaffirms our commitment to educating and empowering the next generation about the importance of farming, sustainability, and the natural world.

A Vision Rooted in Community

Our education project was born from a passion for sharing the wonders of farming and the countryside with young people. At its core, the initiative is about more than just farming; it’s about instilling an appreciation for where food comes from, understanding the importance of sustainability, and fostering a connection to nature.

Whether it’s through hands-on farm visits or interactive workshops in schools, we aim to ignite curiosity and encourage learning in fun and engaging ways. Children leave with not only new knowledge but also lasting memories of their experience on the farm or in the classroom.

A Journey to 50,000

From the first school group that stepped onto our farm in 2014 to the latest children we’ve had the privilege to meet, every single one has played a role in this milestone. Reaching 50,000 participants is a testament to the hard work and passion of everyone involved, from our dedicated team to the teachers and schools who believe in the value of outdoor education.

We’ve had the joy of seeing children’s eyes light up as they meet animals for the first time, learn how crops are grown, or discover how food makes its way from field to fork. These moments remind us why this work is so important.

Giving Back and Building Futures

As a family-run farm, charity and community are at the heart of everything we do. We believe in giving back, not just by producing high-quality, sustainable food, but by investing in the future of our communities through education. Empowering young people with knowledge and respect for the environment ensures they carry these lessons forward in their own lives.

Looking Ahead

While we celebrate this amazing milestone, we’re already looking to the future. On-site, we run our sessions from after the Easter term until October half term, while in-school visits continue during the winter months. We’re committed to daily visits during term time, welcoming schools, and creating new opportunities for children to learn and grow. With the continued support of our community, we hope to inspire another 50,000 children and beyond.

A Heartfelt Thank You

This achievement would not have been possible without the unwavering support of our dedicated education staff, the Mercer family for initiating this project, and, of course, the schools and families who joined us and trusted us to be part of their children’s learning journey. Together, we’re sowing the seeds of curiosity, knowledge, and sustainability that will grow for generations to come.

Here’s to celebrating the past and embracing the future – one curious young mind at a time! 💚
