Now, it’s Gintaris's turn to share their story…
Name: Gintaras Karsokas
Role: Manager, Smockington Farm
Time in Role: 4 years
What do you love about farming?
I love the responsibility of managing the farm, I’ve always loved nature and being outside and farming allows for plenty of both! I wouldn’t like to live in a city surrounded by thousands of people.
What are your main challenges in farming?
I love everything about farming; there is only one main challenge – the weather!!
If farming wasn’t in the picture, where would life have taken you?
I would probably have joined the army.
And finally………What is your favourite Packington Free Range product?
My favourite product is our pork loin. In Lithuania we have a delicious recipe for pork loin, using carrots, onions, courgettes, tomatoes, mozzarella with plenty of garlic, herbs and spices – it is the best!
