In a momentous celebration of culinary excellence, our farm-to-table offerings have once again taken centre stage at the prestigious Great British Food Awards 2023. We are thrilled to announce our remarkable achievements, securing the coveted Gold Award for our Whole Chicken and a Silver Award for our succulent Pork Loin. This outstanding recognition is a testament to our unwavering commitment to delivering top-tier quality and flavour to our customers.

In a testament to our passion for excellence, we are thrilled to share our news of winning not one, not two, but a grand total of eight Great Taste awards in the 2023 awards!

An accolade that celebrates the very essence of extraordinary flavour. Amidst these esteemed honours, our proudest achievement comes in the form of a coveted 3-star award, a highly coveted award only bestowed upon the most exceptional of delicacies. With less than 1.75% of products receiving this award.

We’re thrilled that we won GT Awards across all our products – with our Free Range Cockerel being awarded a fantastic 2-star award. We were also awarded 1-stars across our other pork and poultry products: Bronze Turkey, Pork Loin, Pork Belly and Chicken Legs.

The judges picked out four standout products from our range, awarding stars to our Packington Pork Shoulder, Packington Pork Leg, Packington Free Range Bronze Turkey and Packington Free Range Cockerel.
Our Pork Leg topped the bill, bringing home a coveted two-star award. The Great Taste team say their two star awards mean a product is “Outstanding – Above and beyond delicious. Less than 10% of entries will achieve this rating.”

Our biggest ever win at this year’s Great Taste Awards. We’ve won nine awards, across our entire product line, with the judges awarding us coveted one and two stars across the board.

Packington Free Range is celebrating their latest win having been honoured with The Good Pig Award by Compassion in World Farming as part of the Good Farm Animal Welfare Awards 2012.

Staffordshire based business, Mercer Farming has won the award for Best Farming and Wildlife Conservation in Staffordshire at the Whitegrove Trophy Farm Conservation Competition.

Packington Free Range Pork Loin was awarded one Great Taste gold star, and our Packington Free Range Pork Shoulder won two stars!

LEAF (Linking Environment And Farming) promotes sustainable food and farming. They help farmers produce good food, with care and to high environmental standards, identified in-store by the LEAF Marque logo.

The Great Taste Award results are in for 2015 and yet again Packington Pork was successful in the competition. We received one star for our Pork loin along with comments such as “Great crackling!” and “Extremely well cut and presented meat”.

Maybe the most coveted fine food awards, Packington followed up their success at the 2013 Great Taste Awards with a three star performance.
