Why our pork is different

At Packington Free Range, we focus on producing pork with real depth of flavour. Our British pigs are reared to high welfare standards with space, care and a natural approach that allows them to develop properly.

Pork loin is a leaner cut, but when produced properly it still delivers excellent flavour and tenderness.

The result is pork that is refined, balanced and a noticeable step up in quality.

How to cook your pork loin

For best results, cook at a moderate temperature to keep the meat tender and juicy.

Roast at 180°C (fan 160°C) until cooked through, allowing time to rest before carving.

Avoid overcooking to retain moisture and tenderness.

Simple seasoning is all that’s needed, the quality does the work.

Perfect for traditional roasts, carving or lighter meals.

What to expect

  • Rich, balanced pork flavour
  • Tender, juicy meat when cooked correctly
  • A leaner cut with a clean finish
  • A classic, reliable roasting joint

Description

Working with one of our trusted stockists, the local family-run butchers Paul Shum in Yoxall, we’re pleased to offer Packington pork directly through our website, available to order alongside our poultry with the same trusted delivery service.

As a fourth-generation British family farm in rural Staffordshire, we have been producing food for over 100 years, with a focus on high welfare, sustainability and proper farming methods.

All our pigs are born outdoors at Packington, where sows live their entire lives with space to roam, wallow and socialise. Once weaned, piglets move into large outdoor paddocks with well-bedded shelters, before progressing to spacious, naturally lit barns with outdoor access.

Low group numbers, deep straw bedding and careful attention from our farmers ensure welfare remains paramount at every stage.

Our pigs are allowed to develop and mature naturally, producing pork that is rich in flavour, tender in texture and a noticeable step up in quality.
