Why our sausages are different

At Packington Free Range, we focus on producing pork with real depth of flavour. Our British pigs are reared to high welfare standards with space, care and a natural approach that allows them to develop properly.

Our sausages are made using this same high-quality pork, combined with a traditional recipe that delivers a proper balance of meat, seasoning and texture.

The result is a sausage that is rich, satisfying and full of flavour, with a proper bite and a noticeable difference on the plate.

How to cook your sausages

For best results, cook gently to allow the sausages to brown evenly while staying juicy inside.

Cook over a medium heat in a pan or oven, turning regularly, until golden brown and cooked through.

Avoid cooking too quickly, as this can cause the skin to split and the meat to dry out.

Simple cooking is all that’s needed, the quality does the work.

Ideal for breakfast, mid week meals like bangers and mash or adding to a BBQ spread.

What to expect

  • Rich, traditional pork flavour

Description

Working with one of our trusted stockists, the local family-run butchers Paul Shum in Yoxall, we’re pleased to offer Packington pork products directly through our website, available to order alongside our poultry with the same trusted delivery service.

Our sausages are made using high welfare British pork and a traditional recipe, delivering a classic flavour with a proper, meaty texture.

Ingredients: Pork, Rusk (Wheat), Salt Wheat Flour with Calcium Carbonate, Iron, Niacin, Thiamin, Starch (Potato), Herbs, Yeast Extract (Sulphites), Spices, Stabilisers (Diphosophate E450), Dextrose, Preservative E221 (Sulphite), Sugar, Antioxidnat (Ascorbic Acid), Spice Extracr, Dried Onion, Natural Flavourings, Flavouring.

As a fourth-generation British family farm in rural Staffordshire, we have been producing food for over 100 years, with a focus on high welfare, sustainability and proper farming methods.

All our pigs are born outdoors at Packington, where sows live their entire lives with space to roam, wallow and socialise. Once weaned, piglets move into large outdoor paddocks with well-bedded shelters, before progressing to spacious, naturally lit barns with outdoor access.

Low group numbers, deep straw bedding and careful attention from our farmers ensure welfare remains paramount at every stage.

Our pigs are allowed to develop and mature naturally, producing pork that is rich in flavour, tender in texture and a noticeable step up in quality.
